Mullens Scores Third NCRA Modified Victory of Season in 81 Speedway Event!

Park City, Kansas – June 17, 2018 -  Tanner Mullens of Wichita, Kansas continued his tear in National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products modified competition as he claimed his third series victory of the season during the annual Bill Hall Memorial/Father’s Day Special” Sunday night at 81 Speedway in Park City. 

Current series points leader Cody Schniepp and former five-time series champion Brian Franz started on the front row for the twenty-lap-feature with Schniepp taking the lead as the green flag fell.

Schniepp would lead the first seven laps before third-starting Mullens, aboard the Mel Hambelton Ford-Phil Nightingale/Sandlian Iron and Metal Auto Salvage-Jr Sandlian/Swift Springs-Frank Simonetti/Zach Wood/John Hebb/Auto Craft Collision Repair/B2 Race Components/FastShafts by Axle Exchange/Bill Bass/Jones Racing Products/Jerry Bergman sponsored #02 would take the and never look back to claim the victory.

Three-time and defending tour champion Dan Powers worked his way up from his sixth-starting position to finish second while Tad Davis came from fifth to finish third. Schniepp would hold on to the early-season points lead with a fourth-place finish while Franz rounded out the top five.

Schniepp will lead the tour into this coming weekends pivotal double-header weekend which starts at Humboldt Speedway in Humboldt, Kansas on Friday night (June 22) and then head back to 81 Speedway on Saturday night.

Kinderknecht Again Finds Victory Lane in NCRA Mod Lite Action!

Park City, Kansas – June 17, 2018 - Three-time and defending tour champion Justin Kinderknecht took the at the start and went and went on to claim the National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products mod lite “Bill Hall Memorial/Father’s Day Special” Sunday night at 81 Speedway in Park City.

Randy Bryan of Ames, Iowa and Elliott May of Lyons, Kansas started on the front row for the fifteen-lap-feature, but it was fifth-starting Kinderknecht taking the lead as the green flag fell.

Kinderknecht held the point until the red flag fell on lap five when May spun and came to a stop on the backstretch. Bryan Ward had nowhere to go and his May, briefly knocking him unconscious. May would come to and would be shaken but otherwise, both drivers uninjured.

The final restart it was all Kinderknecht as he would go the rest of the way to claim his third feature victory of the season in three starts. Bryan held on for second while eleventh-starting Trace Ayers came home third. Tyler Bradshaw would finish fourth while twelfth-starting Dustin Forsberg rounded out the top five.

Kinderknecht will take a thirty-point lead over Bradshaw into the tours next event atop the small track inside the famed Belleville High Banks Speedway in Belleville, Kansas on Tuesday night, July 3rd.
